Sound Voltex is regarded as one of the most difficult rhythm games you can play. With it's six buttons and two knobs on the controller, it can be very intimidating for newcomers both familiar and unfamiliar with the genre. I remember giving it a whirl in June 2022, but being way too confused and overwhelmed on my first try. I might've never touched this game again if it hadn't been for Camellia tweeting about a professional player who was showcasing it at Summer Games Done Quick a week later. I got to watch this particular showcase live, and I was immediately enlightened. The songs. The illustrations. Oh my GOD the Level 20's. Next time I was able to go to the arcade, I began to really start with my SDVX journey. I want to get GOOD at this game.
Since there are over 2000 songs in the franchise, I will only add songs after I have played them for the first time. They will be sorted alphabetically via English or Romanized title and separated based on which game they were released on. If you don't see a song listed, it just means I just haven't played it yet! Some scores will be obtained on an unofficial SDVX PC clone and an at-home controller, and I will specify which scores are on the arcade version and which are on the unofficial version.
